Life in general

Jess and Steve will be here in Seattle in 5 days! I'm so so so excited about that! I can't wait to wrap my arms around Jess!! :D

So there is 7 days until Christmas. I am all done shopping. Just have a few presents left to wrap. It feels so good to know that I'm all done and I don't have to rush to finish in time. :D

My birthday is 10 days away!! :D I'm so excited for that! My mom is going to take me to get a pedicure and we'll probably do lunch also. Then on Friday the 29th we're heading out to Marysville to go to the Tulalip Casino!! :D YIPPEEE! Jess and Steve will be there so that will be great funn!

Work has been ok lately. I don't have as much to do right now and it is really driving me crazy because this office is a lot slower than what Piedmont was. Some people are really getting on my nerves also which really sucks. I don't like that at all.

I think I'm just really irratable (that is a hard word to spell) right now because of issues with my body. I won't go into detail but I need to go see an OB/GYN pretty soon. I hate that I have a problem and I don't know what the issue is. My doctor put me on vitamins because he thought that would help but it seems to be getting worse now. I think I also have a sinus infection which really sucks. I hate being sick more than anything! I have also been extremely tired and can't seem to get over that. You would think that with all the vitamins I'm taking (especially the B-6 which is energy and metabolism) that I would be feeling better. Life can be frustrating.

Max is still not getting along with Zach. We had to buy a muzzle for him to wear when they are together. He has been really cranky/lazy lately. He had fun at my parents house last night.

My dad let me borrow his HP photo printer. I can hook my camera up, hook it to the computer or put my memory card in and it prints right there. I printed two pictures last night but there are lots of things to play around with on it so that will keep me even more busy!

Melissa turns 21 on Wednesday. Karen said last night that they want to do lunch that day before they fly out to Nebraska that night. I cant believe how much she is growing up and what a beautiful woman she is now! Love her!

Ray and I did a little bit of ring shopping and I saw one at Helzberg's Diamonds that I liked. It's a 3-stone ring 3/4 ctw with a plain band. I've also been shopping on eBAY because it would be great to find one and get the winning bid for less than what we would pay at a store. Not sure when he is getting his profit sharing check though and that depends on when I get the ring. I really wanted a New Year's Eve proposal because then Jess would still be here for me to celebrate with but he says no. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how he decides to do things. But I am also really bad about sitting back and just letting things go. I'm also very bad about not buying myself anything within 30 days of Christmas/Birthday...

In weather news it has been crazy again. Thursday we were at Ray's mom's watching the Seahawks get whooped and the power went out in the last couple minutes (which was fine since the end got even worse) but they still don't have power. We drove home that night, which knuckle drive for me! My hands hurt the next day! We drove under one tree on Woodinville-Duvall and then not even a mile down the road had to turn around. Then on the Snoqualmie Valley road a tree and power lines were in my lane so I got in the other lane to go around them a Jeep came flying around the corner and didn't even slow down until I flashed my lights at them, crazy drivers! Novelty Hill was fine and the power was all on in Redmond on when we drove home but the wind was so strong that it was moving my car and it was raining and people were flying down the freeway, stupid drivers! So there was over 1 million people that had power outages, not here so I had to go to work. WIT was all out and there were trees all over the road there. And with the Bellevue branch being out that made all the other branches out since the network computers are in Bellevue. So we went to Southcenter on Friday night to return something and look for some stuff and it was absolutetly insane! The food court was packed full and all the stores were packed. We didn't stay long. Then we went to Safeway to get some groceries and that was crazy. The lines were so long and the checker said it had been like that all day. They were all out of fire wood and batteries and kept announcing that over the loudspeaker. The gas stations had lines down the streets since some were out of power and gas and everyone was running out of gas because stop lights were out causing traffic and hence more gas being used. So it is just weird to see a whole city and surrounding areas go crazy. Ray's family came over for a bit yesterday since they still don't have power and my Aunt Karen and Uncle Jim and the boys stayed at my parents since they didn't have power either. The only thing that really affected me was that the restaurant where the WIT Christmas party was going to be on Friday was out of power and so that got canceled. I was really looking forward to that and was sad when it got canceled.

Well, this has turned out a lot longer than I had expected so hope you didn't get too bored!

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree

So our first Christmas Tree together turned out to be a Seahawks tree. The little snowman ornament was the inspiration. Thought I would share some pictures with everyone. I will try to get some pictures of the new place up soon! Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was wonderful! It was so good to see all of my family! I hadn't been to my grandparents for over a year and it felt good to go back. Melissa drove over with me on Thanksgiving morning. The weather was absolutely horrible! From home all the way to Silverdale it was POURING down rain! So hard to see 50 ft in front of me! Then between Silverdale and somewhere it started snowing. Then when we were like 15 mins from the house it was pure blue sky and sunny and then at Grandma's it was cloudy. So that was my crazy drive over. We had a ton of amazing food! The yams were my favorite this year! After dinner my Aunt Mardel had some planned games for everyone to do together. Then we broke up and all the women played different games, compatability and I'm totally blanking on the other one. All the men and a couple of the kids played Texas Hold 'Em. Jesse and Luke beat all the dads in one round! Then we watched Grey's Anatomy. I have never seen the show, it being the middle of the 3rd season I was a little lost, same with Grandma. It was actually a good show, even without knowing everything that was going on I enjoyed it. Jaime and I won out and got the hide-a-bed which really wasn't too comfy and at one point Jaime was sharing my pillow...she's a cuddler! All us women woke up at 6am and left at 7am to go shopping. We stopped at Starbucks and were at the mall by 8:15! The first stop was Mervyn's and I bought myself a new pair of New Balance tennies. They are light grey and light pink. They were originally $60 but with the store closing and the additional 15% off I got them for $30!! I definately spent a lot of money and it was nice to actually have money to spend this year! We had lunch at the Olive Garden this year. I had the baked ziti and it was delish! Great Uncle Bob and our cousin of some sorts was there and Uncle Bob ended up paying for everyone...so nice! After lunch was the Target stop and that was where I spent the most of my money! After Target I got changed and headed out to Ray's dad's place in Port Orchard which was only 20 mins away. So when I got there Max was being a bad boy. He so does not like Zach and I have no idea why. Every time Zach walked by he growls or tries to bite him. He gets in trouble with me if he acts like that so he got a time out in the truck. At dinner Maggie gave him a bone but he wouldn't touch it until he was with everyone else. That was a good time when Max and Zach had their bones away from each other. His dad made stuffed pork chops and they were amazing! He said it was his first time making them and WOW! We had mashed taters and asparagus with them. Yummy! The drive back was only about an hour but I was so tired it felt so long! I got my order of 140 pictures in the mail that I finally got downloaded and a bunch of the Christmas presents I ordered for people so I'm super excited! Ray and I went to Alderwood Mall last night and I got Jordan, Janae, Steve finished and half of Randy's and Al's. Ray also gave me a bunch more ideas for him so that helped. We had dinner at Claim Jumper and we decided that the Redmond one is better. We then headed out the the SUPER WALMART in Marysville since we were already in Lynnwood. Totally forgot what I needed from there but got some good stuff anyway. So I'm at work today and right now...IT IS SNOWING!!! YIPPEE! I love love love the snow but it will be a long drive home because it is slick out there. I'm also excited because I have my doctor appt tomorrow so we can finish up everything from my last visit and make sure everything is good and get my meds for the next 3 months. So I'm going home to enjoy the SNOW!

New Job

So I had my first day yesterday. It went pretty well. It is a lot different than Piedmont that is for sure. I also looked at a couple different apartments to see which I wanted. I chose the 3 bedroom flat. I know, three bedrooms we don't need but the living room in the two bedroom townhome was way too small for me to enjoy. We also will have a great view from the 3 bedroom! And it is still $200 less than what we were paying at Piedmont!

Jason was in town last weekend for his bday. That was a lot of fun to be able to see him again. We had dinner at Claim Jumper, and I got some good pics of Jason being a pig, and then went to Waldo's to watch some bands. It was crazy because I felt like I was back in High school, almost everyone there had gone to Cedarcrest!

I'm excited to go to my Grandma's next week. It feels like forever since I have been over there! And then shopping on Friday! Yippee! I will actually have enough money to get all my shopping done and maybe get something for myself also. I just got my last paycheck with Fairfield and it was a lot more than I was expecting so that was nice. I've already got some of my shopping done which is nice.

Today is mine and Ray's two year anniversary. I count it as today because that is our first date and first kiss. All thanks to Kristy inviting us to come celebrate her bday with her! We have plans to go out to dinner at the The Keg tonight. He is pretty excited.

Tomorrow is Apple Cup and I'm very upset about missing it! I'll be cheering the Cougars on from here at work but it won't be the same not being with Ray's fam! There is also a new UFC pay-per-view on tomorrow night that I will be missing. :(

Great news! Jess and Steve will be coming up for the holidays! Flying in the 22nd and leaving the 1st! I can't wait to see them! I am so freaking excited! You have no idea! I already ordered Jess' present and I love it! She'll be here for my bday too! Yippee! I'm planning on going to the Tulalip Casino in Marysville on Friday the 29th to celebrate. That should be great fun also.

Max is doing well. He got fleas after I put Advantage on him. Makes no sense to me. He's been kinda miserable with those. His poor little bum is all red and bitten. We have to check him every hour and we give him flea baths. He's the cutest sweetest little boy. I can't wait to share pictures with everyone!

I think that's all I have for now. Hope y'all are doing well!

Life changes so quick!

We had a Halloween party here at work. It was a crazy week with the buyers walking the property and trying to get ready for the party. We had a lot more attendees than expected! The community center was PACKED! Body to body! It was so hard to walk through there! It turned out well though. Everyone loved all of the prizes and the Indian food went fast! Everyone seemed to enjoy it!

So since the property has been for sale for so long some of us in the office had started looking for something. With the new company that is interested in buying, they weren't interested in keeping staff. And we decided if this sale fell through again we didn't want to deal with the due dilligence all over again. So Tiffany got a job with Braddock & Logan (a company that was a potential buyer at one point) in Renton. So since she went there she decided to bring me with her as the leasing agent. Hopefully to move up to assistant soon. So I will now be moving again, this time back to Renton. We drove around the property the other night and I like the look of the outside. They are planning on starting a remodel so I'm hoping that our apartment (townhome) can get done because I don't really like the kitchen cabinets. So my last day here is Nov 15th and I'll be moving the first weekend of December. Busy month.

I am still so happy with little Max. My dad bought him some sweaters and they are so cute! I have some really cute pictures and you don't have to wait that much longer to see them!!

That is the big news for now.

Our baby

So we are loving Max. He was sick with pneumonia when we got him and the vet I took him to was the rudest lady ever. But he is all better now and he has lots of energy. He is so happy to see us when we get home for work. He listens to me very well, still working on listening to Ray though. He likes the neighbor dog. He is always trying to go over to her apartment to see her. He also met a girl dachshund at Petco and they got along great. Only problem is that he doesn't seem to like Zach, Randy and Shawna's dog. He was growling at him at our place and we thought it was because Zach was on his territory. Well Ray took him over there last weekend and Max bit Zach. Not good. He does great with every other dog so this is not a good issue that he can't get along with family. I bought him a navy blue sweater that has a football on the back. He is absolutely adorable in it! (again no computer to upload pictures) I can't wait to show everyone how cute he is!

In other news, we have a new offer on the property. The new company is small but we're really hoping this one will go through. It's been so hard being for sale for so long and having nothing go through. It gets frustrating after awhile. I also have to keep my eyes open on other properties that are hiring because nobody knows yet if this new company wants to keep everyone. I guess we will see how things go.

I'm going out to Auburn tomorrow for my 2nd cousin's wedding. I'm so excited! :D I heard my cousin Janae had to get her wisdom teeth pulled while up at school and there was no one there with her. Poor thing! I need to get stuff together to send to her. I feel horrible because I haven't talked to Melissa or Janae since they left for school. I'm such a horrible cousin! We're still trying to figure out what is going on for Christmas so I can send out the 'Who has Who' list for presents. If it is at Nancy's I have to add Dean and Ray to the list. I think it may be since Christmas is on a Monday and everyone has to work the next day.

Ray and I are looking at tickets online, hoping to go see Jess and Steve in Florida in February. Last I checked tickets were only $200 so that would be great! We found THE perfect couch the other day in southcenter area. It was black and soft and the couch/loveseat set was only $850. Too bad we didn't have that much since we just bought a dog. :D I started painting our bedroom a light blue. It is a lot brighter on the wall then in the can. I hope I will learn to love it though. I got my favorite picture of Cannon Beach professionaly framed. It was expensive but it was worth it. It looks amazing. I also got a cool frame from IKEA that I put 5 of my flower pictures in, black and white, but before we got it hung Max accidentally ran into it and broke the glass so now I need that too.

Well this turned out a lot longer than I had planned. I hope everyone is well and good.

MAX

So this is an extremely happy post! So most people know that I LOVE dachshunds! I used to have my little Buddy but things didn't really work out with the whole roommate thing and her dog so I couldn't keep him. Anyway, I've been planning since February (when I got my tax refund) that this coming February I would use my tax refund to get a new puppy. Well, last Sunday Ray said we needed a dog. Then he had Monday and Tuesday off, so Monday he says, lets go look at dogs. Well, went went to the King County Animal Control shelter in Kent and guess what???? They had a dachshund!!! He was perfect! He is red and a mini and looks just like Buddy did! So of course, I have to get him! They picked him up on the 26th of Sept wandering around a shopping center in Issaquah. So I go up front and wait forever and then say I want him. But, he had shots that day to go into surgery so they tell me to come back tomorrow. Now believe me, it was very hard to leave without taking him with me. I thought about him all night. I called first thing when they opened on Tuesday and asked if he was available for adoption, the answer was yes. Then when we drive all the way out to Kent they tell me he is in surgery (it got postponed from the day before) and would be ready to pick up at 4 or 4:30. So I adopted him before I got to meet him but fine with me. So Ray and I went to the SuperMall and walked and then we went and saw The Guardian. There was like 10 people in the whole theater on a Tuesday afternoon. So after the movie we got to go and get him. We named him Max. He slept pretty much the whole night since he was still coming off some drugs. The next day he was a much happier dog. Only problem, when I left in the morning on Wed and Thurs he got so anxious that he started chewing the blinds. So we are now missing 6 blinds and 7 more are all chewed up on the bottom. He is definately a mama's boy. He doesn't listen to Ray very well yet. I keep trying to tell him to listen to his daddy. He only poops for Ray though, not for me. Funny. Anyway, we have a new member to the family. Mister Max Isom. He is 2 years old and we're so happy to have him! We got him a ball at Petco the other night. He almost grabbed it out of my hand at the store he was so excited. He loves that ball, he sleeps with it even! I can't wait to show everyone pictures! We put a computer on layaway at Wal-Mart so we should have that by November! :D FINALLY!

People are idiots!

Ok, so work is still going well. I love it here, I love what I do but I'm sick of the stupid people! If you're not going to really go through with renting an apartment then don't put your application in and don't put a deposit down! I've had like 10 cancels or denials in the last month. Seriously, almost every apartment I rent, it gets put in the computer as a cancel. It makes my numbers look horrible and it's really starting to piss me off! And to top it off, we have 20 apartments to rent right now and nobody is seriously looking. Everyone that I have had come through that door is just kinda looking around. They're not serious about it and that is such a waste of time. Take them on a tour and take a half an hour to show them something and then when you try to close the deal they back off and don't even take applications to even make them seem interested in it. So that was my vent session. I had to do something, I was upset.

So last night Tiffany, Kimberly, Misty and Diana and I went to the Mustard Seed. I shouldn't have eaten dinner there. I was so hungry from not eating all day that I got a grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad but then I was so full I couldn't drink anything else. It was still fun to hang out. Ray stopped by for a beer but when he came it seemed like we just started talking about work. Wasn't too fun for him. Misty is moving to California today so it was fun to see her before she left. I would have put the picture on here but nope...still no computer. Hopefully next week I can get either that or a couch.

I went shopping last week and got some new pants that fit better. Still kinda big in the legs so I need to lose some weight in the stomach so the pants fit well all over. I also went to Nordstrom and got fitted for bra. I was wearing a 42DD and now I am a 42H. Big difference. My back doesn't hurt like it used to and the fit is amazing. I bought 3 bras at $34 a pop (amazing price for Nordstrom!) but now I found a website to buy the same brand so I can get them whenever. :D Seriously, go to Nordstom and get fitted, it's amazing the difference it makes! Oprah is the best!

Not much else is new. Maybe more next week after I get my big paycheck and go shopping. Hope all is well with everyone!

Where to start...

Ok, so I haven't done any big updates because I don't get comments so I don't think people are reading but here is a nice big one for you. I just typed all this up, and then blogger kicked me off when I was almost done so now I have to re-type it all. I'll start with most recent news since it is so fresh.

First: I spent the last three days in bed sick with food poisoning. WARNING: DO NOT EAT AT MCDONALD'S BY OUR APARTMENTS!!! If you have never had food poisoning, I will never wish that pain on anyone! I was absolutely miserable! It felt like someone was tearing my stomach in pieces! I missed work too so my next paycheck isn't going to be the best.

Second: My mom came over on Monday and Ray's mom came over on Tuesday to see our apartment. Ray's mom brought me flowers and she brought us a fan and our microwave. It was nice for Ray to have that microwave the last couple of days since I couldn't cook for him.

Third: On Saturday we had our family's annual August Birthdays celebration. It was nice to see everyone. Ray came with me and he wanted to stay longer than me so he could play volleyball! It seemed like he had a good time which I'm glad about. My grandma had hip replacement recently and she was doing great, walking really well. My grandpa got an ipod for his bday present, he can't wait to put his classical music on there! I got to see Jaime's engagement ring, it's one carat round solataire, it's so pretty! The wedding is going to be next summer so I'm excited for that! Jace and I read some books while everyone else played volleyball, that was our fun time. It was sad to have Janae gone but I know she is having fun at WSU. She got into the Sarority (I don't know how to spell that) that she wanted so that was fun to hear! Melissa is back at school also. Her last year so she started applying to medical school. She got something back from UW saying they wanted to interview or something so we're all hoping she gets accepted there!

Fourth: The apartment is slowly coming together. I finally got a vacuum the other day and the carpet looks much better. We haven't done anything with the spare bedroom, until we have a desk not much we can do. We still need a futon cover and some dining chairs. The only bedroom furniture we have is a bed right now, I know what I want, just a matter of getting it.

Fifth: My paychecks once a month are going to be great! I got $500 in commissions last month, the end of September I will have over $1000 in commissions! I'm so excited! That's on top of my regular pay!

So that is about how life is going right now. I would love to get more comments so I know that people are actually reading/interested. ;-) Hope all is well with y'all! (sorry still no pictures until I get a computer, anyone feeling generous?)

Updates

Just thought I would give y'all a little update. Ray and I are unpacked. Putting stuff together was not so fun, the bar was impossible to put together but the finished product looks great. I don't think it has quite hit me yet that we're living together. It's been good so far. We finally have a pretty full fridge. It took like 5 shopping trips to get it that way. The first one was the biggest. I get paid on Friday, my first commission check!, so I'm doing some shopping of stuff that we don't have yet. I'm getting off work early on Saturday to go to the family August party. Then after that Jen is having her 30th bday party. Should be a fun night. I'm excited. Apparently Misty's bacherlorette party is Friday night, we'll see if I'm still invited though. Anyway, things are going very well. Life is good right now, Ray even said we could go shopping for rings! :D

TODAY IS MOVE DAY!!

Hey everyone!! I have been sooo busy lately packing and working! I worked 23 hours of overtime this week, working a total of 63 hours for the week!!! That is crazy!! (nice money though) The last couple of days have been crazy. I got home last night, finished packing until 11pm then this morning my dad and I got up at 6am and loaded up the truck and the car and were on the road by 7am and had everything unloaded in the apartment by 7:30. I got some stuff put away before I had to get in the shower but now I am at work and I can see Ray and Randy unloading from their trucks and I wish I was over there. 6 more hours to go. I'm so happy and excited and YEAHH!! Just wanted to fill y'all in on how I was feeling today, besides being tired. Hope all is well with you!

Saturday, July 22, 2006

So not much new to report. I'm so excited about moving!!! Only 2 more weeks!! Unpacking is one of my favorite things because then you can put things away wherever you want. We went the the Bite of Seattle yesterday and it was so much fun!! I ate a ton of food though! My menu consisted of:
Alligator on a stick
Coconut prawns
Chicken kabob
Chocolate dipped strawberries on a stick
Seafood wrap (crab cake, shrimp and ceaser salad) DELICIOUS!
Margarita
Mike's hard lemonade
(i think that is it)

It was crazy though because it was so HOTT out! Everyone was sitting in the shade or running through the fountain! Even we all ran through, well everyone but Ray did. The Blue Thunder was there (drumline from Seahawks) and we listened to a couple of bands. Ray and I got a cartoon drawing of us done. It's so cute! We're a pre-historic couple and I'm dragging him behind me from the shirt, very cute! It will be framed in the apartment! We also got a beautiful blown glass candle holder to put on our coffee table. I just got the corner bar I ordered the other day! I can't wait to put it together! I'm so excited! :D So all we need now for the apartment is a computer and dining chairs. :D I'm already planning what to make to eat for our house-warming party! Well, back to work I go.

It's OFFICIAL!!!

So, big news now is that Ray and I are moving in together. We'll be living at the complex where I work. It's a great two bedroom apartment, lots of space. I would have lived with a girl but I have no girlfriends to live with so Ray it is! ;-) I am very excited! We move in on the 6th of August. I told my parents. They of course didn't take it very well, wasn't expecting them to. But I am excited and it's my choice, that's how I feel. We went shopping at IKEA and got a bookshelf, some mirrors and a kitchen table! The table was only $50 because it was their 'Only Happens Twice A Year Sale!' It was definately crowded!

So work is still going really well! I fell down while taking someone on a tour the other day and fell on the same knee that I always seem to fall on. Didn't feel too good. And it was very embarassing! I seem to fit in very well here and that's nice. All of us get along well in the office. I'm not quite over how I was treated before so I still take some stuff a little too personally but I'm working on it. Ray has been meeting me for lunch a lot which is a nice break in the middle of the day.

My cousin Jaime got engaged over the weekend of the 4th!! How exciting!! They will be getting married next summer! We've been waiting for him to finally pop the question. He asked Tammie & David's permission first (of course they were going to say yes, he's already part of the family!) and I guess he asked over dinner. I haven't heard all the details yet. Erica turned 13 in June, I can't believe she is so old already! A teenager! I can remember when all of them were born!! Janae graduated high school and will be going to WSU in the fall. She is leaving on August 13th so I'm hoping to have her over before she leaves. It was a big couple of weeks for our family but definately exciting!

Didn't do much on the 4th. I couldn't go to Moses Lake because I had to work Saturday and Sunday. Ray and I played mini-golf at Willows and I won! I got a hole in one also! :D Then we hung out at a friend's for BBQ and fireworks. Sad that it isn't what I'm used to for the 4th and not having Jess here to celebrate her bday on the 3rd made me sad too. Wish she was here.

Anyway, that's about it for today. Just wanted to give you the big updates. And, I need a computer so I can start downloading some pictures. So until then, I won't be posting any pics. So sorry.

New Job

Hey everyone!! So, my new job is going GREAT!! I absolutely love it here! I fit in really well which is nice. Misty and Tiffany (asst manager & manager) seem really happy with me and with the hard work I've been doing. They keep telling me that I'm a fast learner. I definately want to learn as much as I can. I got my first paycheck yesterday and it was more than I was thinking it would be so that was nice. My goal is to eventually move up in the property management field. If I am a property manager that doesn't live on site then I will need my real estate license so I can go and get that now that I'm done with school!!! I took my test on Wednesday and I only got one answer wrong!! Yippee for me!! I feel like I'm the only one out of all my friends that works. Everyone is always going out and everything but if I don't get enough sleep I can't function the next day, kinda annoying. I really wish I could go out, I miss everyone but I would rather concentrate on my job. I work Wednesday through Sunday so I have Monday and Tuesdays off. It is definately different but I'll get used to it. It's been so hot over here the last 2 days and is supposed to continue to be so on Tuesday my plan is to sit out by the pool and get some much needed color in me!! I think we're going to Rhonda's tonite to watch UFC, I guess it is the finale of the reality show and Ray is super excited about it. So I was really excited because I got my pink razor phone. Well the thing was being retarded and I talked to probably 8 people employed by Tmobile and I finally talked to someone today that told me I could get a new phone on warranty!! About time! everyone was trying to tell me I needed my original sales receipt from when I bought it online (on the 10th) but it has been less than 14 days (well today is the 14th) so there was no reason for me to have the receipt. (the battery wasn't lasting more than 5 hours before dying and I got a replacement battery and that still didn't work) So, Michelle at Tmobile helped me this morning and is sending me a new (or refurbished) pink razr and I should have that in 7 days. Yeah!! No more dead cell phone! :D

Just felt like typing about life

So I've made it this far, let's see if I make it all the way to Thursday. Bruce took me to Subway for lunch on Monday and Kim is taking me to lunch tomorrow, not sure yet what I want though. I wrote a little goodbye email to people today just to let those know that didn't already that I was leaving. I got a lot of nice emails back which made me feel good. I'm doing my best trying to train both Juli (new admin assistant) and Amy (new receptionist). It is hard to train two different people on two different jobs. Apparently Adrienne didn't believe that I really showed them how to do everything and asked them if I did or not. Whatever, she needs to stop being such a witch.

I still have some shopping to do for some new clothes. I need a blazer and it is definately not the right time of the year to go blazer shopping. The cheapest one I found was for $66.00. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to spend that much but I guess I will. I'll have to try that one on and the $80 Alfani one at Macys. Long term investment there. I did find out that I will be getting a discount on rent, not sure yet what percantage it is yet. I will probably be moving in around September. I went back on Friday to get some paperwork and it was nice to see Tiffany (manager) and Misty (asst manager) so excited for me to start. Makes me feel wanted and needed. I am definately excited to start. Nice to be getting my career started.

The teacher gave us our final test to study so that we will actually pass the real thing on the 21st. The first time I took it at home I got a 63%!!! How horrible am I! So I studied some more and she gave us some study time in class yesterday so I took it again and got an 84%! Much better! So I studied the answers that I got wrong and I now understand why I got them wrong so I will take it again tonite and hopefully it will 100%! So our final test is on the 21st and our final class day is the 26th. The time just flew right by!

I was telling Ray the other day that I can't believe it has only been a month since we went on vacation! It seems like it has been so much longer than that! I got all the pictures printed and got them the other day. Some turned out just beautiful! The sky is an extra bright bright blue in some of them and it looks so gorgeous! It was a fun trip and I hope we can take another one soon.

Jessica called a little bit ago. It was nice to talk to her since we both are so busy lately. I really want to go down and visit her in September but with moving out I'm not sure if I will have the money. And with starting a new job I'm not sure about the vacation time yet, if I get it before my first year...I think they will be up here in August, not positive though. I sure hope so because I miss her!

Oh, and the best news of the weekend...I got a pink phone!!! I got the pink razr through Tmobile and I LOVE it! So freaking cute and so fun and so exciting!!! Ray was laughing at me because I was so excited, I was like a little kid on Christmas!

So that is life right now, thought I'd share it since I don't have much to do right now. Have a great day!!!

blah

Well, Carl took me to lunch today since he won't be here for my last week, that is if I am here next week. The way things are going today I'm not too sure if they want me to be here next week. Juli is taking my place, funny that it's another Juli. We hired a new receptionist, her name is Amy. I guess they have everything figured out and ready to go...I don't have a clue what is going on or what to do, just going with the flow.

I'm so excited to start my new job. I'm going out there tonite to start filling out some paperwork so that I don't have so much to do on the 16th. And Tiffany (my boss) is going to show me around the property some.

I was supposed to get my new pink razor phone today but UPS hasn't delivered it yet, not sure why not and I'm kinda annoyed about it. My mom was going to bring it to me but if she comes now she'll get stuck in traffic.

That's about it for today, not much to tell.

Duvall Days

Saturday was Duvall Days!! Good times to be had. I personally drank way too much and made a fool of myself. I was so excited telling Randy and Shawna about my new job and standing there in front of me is Scott. I haven't seen Scott in years!! He's still friends with Cory and he's married now. (I met Scott through Cory, Cory at Taco Del Mar) So anyway, it was great to catch up with him. Him and his wife are friends with Randy and Shawna. It's crazy what a small world it is! So in the pictures it's me and Ray of course, then Jason, Julio (who you can't see because Jason is rude) Ray and Marlis (Jason's girlfriend who I love) and then Ray and his brother Randy. I didn't take too many pictures, I was too busy drinking! ;-) I also got to see Aimee Hern, soon to be Knudson. It was fun to see her. She seems to be doing well. Her and a bunch of other girls I went to high school with had a booth down at Duvall Days.

So I went by my new job the other day and the manager, Tiffany, is just as excited about me about working there! I really think this is going to be a great move for me and a great way to gain experience in the field I want to work in. And then I will be able to move out of my parents house and have my own place which I'm so freaking excited about!! YIPPPEEEE!!!!

It's Official!!!!

YEAH!!! I got my new job today! I'm so freaking excited! I just gave my two weeks and it actually went better than I had expected. I was asked over and over and over again if there was anything that would make me stay and there isn't. I am starting my new job on June 15th, the day after I 'graduate' my real estate class. I will be working as a leasing consultant at Piedmont in Crossroads. Hopefully I will be able to move up in the company and work in property management which is a great starting place for real estate. I love the manager and assistant manager of the site. I met with them for an hour on my interview and we got along great! I really am so excited for this opportunity to try something new!! Thanks to everyone that has put up with my crankiness the last couple of months due to my current job, I'm hoping that will change with this new job. Hope you all have as great a day as I have!!

Venting on our long line of temps

Ok, so this is getting really ridiculous! Apparently I am the problem and that is why we can't get a person to stay at this position. I have no idea why our first girl left but out of the 3 temps we have had we have rec'd the following feedback...

"Julie was condenscending towards me. She had a bad attitude."

"I was not trained on the phones, was not given a break, was not given a regular lunch."

So basically this is all really baffling to me. So the first girl, basically her issue was that she didn't want to work here so she was telling the agency whatever she wanted to get out of it and was happy when I complained about her...Still I don't understand how I was condenscending. I've asked people up in this front office as they can hear me training and they have no idea where that came from either.

So the second girl we had come in on Friday. The first comment out of her mouth was that she didn't like the traffic on 405 and never wanted to make the drive again....ok, so basically she doesn't want to come back right? Well, I trained her on the phones and the mail, it was a slow day on Friday and I knew that she didn't want to be here so why show her how to do a lot of stuff? So I was up here for an hour in the morning showing her how to answer the phones and believe me, she had every piece of paper she could that had to do with the phones so I don't know why she had no instruction on this...got me on that one. With the breaks, I told her to let me know when she was going on a break and I would take the phones, nobody else had a problem with this but her. So since I didn't come up and tell her to go on one, she says we didn't let her. So at noon, I show her how to give the phones to Adrienne, which she does, and I invite her to come back and join everyone for lunch and she declines and says she has errands to run so I tell her to be back by one. So don't know why she is saying that we forgot about her so she got a short lunch...

I just dont get this. I don't think that I'm talking rude or not showing them something. What the hell am I doing wrong?

So now Adrienne says this is a problem and she will probably start doing the training. HA! That's funny. That will definately not go over well. But fine with me, then I can actually get my own work done seems how I've been training in addition to my regular job...

Ok, so this was my venting post. Hope you all enjoyed it....Hopefully this will make me feel better. Everyone here is telling me to not let it get to me but kinda hard when it's more than one person saying something and your own boss takes their word over yours...

No new receptionist

Ok, so what I thought was going to work out really isn't. We really don't get along. Guess we have to keep looking....

New Receptionist

Ok, so we finally found a receptionist that I like. She is only a temp-hire but hopefully we will hire her. We've had such a hard time finding people! So much stressful stuff here at work. My shoulders are rocks right now!! The one thing I wish is that I had money so I could get a massage, I so need it! Not much to write, life hasn't really been exciting. I almost fell asleep in class yesterday, I have a mid-term tonite. No plans for the long weekend because of that whole money issue. Anyway, just thought I'd write a quick update.

Cannon Beach

So Ray and I got back on Wednesday from our trip down to the coast. It was absolutely beautiful! It was such a nice and relaxing trip that I think we both needed a lot.

Ray's surprise was balloons, cake, candles, a mug with taffy set up by the hotel. It was actually a surprise which was great because I usually can't surprise him. He even searched the car for it because he wanted to know what it was. The cake wasn't that great but he enjoyed everything else.

We left on Sunday and the plan was to go to a mall in Portland because of a store I wanted to go to but we changed our minds. We stayed in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area and ate and did some shopping. You know Kohl's? Well here we always see commercials for all of their great sales, well there isn't one in Washington. Well, we were on our way to lunch at Carl's Jr....so yummy by the way, and we passed Kohl's so we had to turn around and go in. I found some cute skirts but they looked funny on so I passed on those. But I have been looking for a basic black purse forever and I found one there. It is perfect. We then went to PF Chang's for dinner. I know there is one in Bellevue but Ray had never been and that sounded good to him. He loved it of course. We got mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken and asparagus. It was delicious!

So on Monday morning we set out for the beach. It took a little over an hour to get there, we were in the mountains most of the time and it was raining off and on which was annoying. But as soon as we got past the mountains and started down the coast it was beautiful. We got a little lost when we got into town because the main road through town was closed so we had to get back on the freeway to get to our hotel. Our hotel was a little ways from the downtown area, probably 2 miles but it was perfect. The hotel is more like a cabin type place. So nice, so there was a bunch of buildings and probably like 2-5 rooms in each building. It felt more like a cabin than a hotel room. We had a jacuzzi in our room so that was lots of fun. We had a small view of the water but the room was great. We had dinner the first night at Bill's Tavern. Just bacon cheeseburgers but good. I had a sample of some blackberry beer. It was ok. I'm not much of a beer person but the blackberry definately made it have a different after taste. For Ray's bday we did some shopping. We still had to get his mom a mother's day present and we found a store that she would've loved. We got her some stuff there and I hope she enjoys them. We went to dinner at a local place. It was ok, they almost didn't serve Ray a beer since his license expired that day. We both had halibut and chips. Kinda skimped on the halibut but there were more than enough fries.

We left on Wednesday morning. We stopped in Seaside to see what it was like and we definatley like Cannon Beach more. Seaside was older and more touristy and more dirty. Same with Astoria, just didn't really appeal to us. We know that we will definately be going back though.

Here are a couple pictures. I can only put so many on there. I have them on www.kodakgallery.com if you would like to see the slide show.

Ok, so no pictures. It is being retarded and not letting me add any pictures. I even tried to put them on a new post and that didn't work. I'll try again tomorrow.

MARY KAY TIME

Ok, so work is still crazy. We still don't have a receptionist and I am on vacation next week. So besically if we don't hire someone in the next three days, which would be very fast, we're going to have to bring in a temp to help out while I'm gone. Jo just had great timing huh? Decides not to come back to work and doesn't let anyone know. That's just really really rude and I think immature. You would think a grown woman with 3 kids would have a little more work ethic.

Anyway.....Just three more days of work and then we're on our way to Oregon!!!! :D We're so excited! It will be a great birthday for him! I have an extra surprise set up for him while we're down there. We're leaving on Sunday morning and going to spend the day in downtown Portland and then stay the night in Hillsboro. Then on Monday morning we'll head over to Cannon Beach and stay there until Wednesday. It kinda stinks because I have school and it would be good to come back in time for that on Wednesday, just kinda cuts into stuff. We're not really sure yet what we are going to do while we are down there but we'll figure it out. We're excited either way.

Well, I should get back to work, been busy. Check out the links on the side, my MaryKay website is now up and running! You can go online and place an order and pay with a credit/debit card! Would love to see some orders from everyone. My favorite product is the Satin Hands set for $28. This stuff is amazing! It makes your hands (and feet if you choose to use it on them) so soft and gets rid of all the dead skin. Take a look at the website and contact me if you have any questions. Thanks!

AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so this week has been interesting. Jo (the receptionist) didn't come in on Monday. She was supposed to be in at 12 but called and couldn't come in I guess. Then on Tuesday she left at 11:30 and was gone for 2 hours leaving Adrienne along for an hour and a half since I left at noon that day. Well then Jo's daughter calls yesterday and says that Jo won't be in...Jo never calls. Then 9:00am comes and goes this morning, now it is almost 11 and still no phone call from Jo. This week has been absolutely crazy! I'm already doing enough in my job to have to do the receptionist job too. So Adrienne (my supervisor) and I have been sharing the answering of the phones but her daughter got sick and she had to leave to go and pick her up and take her home...We had some other major stuff happen this week, kind of confidential but just know that I'm going crazy this week. I had to take a little break because I couldn't do any more entering. So just had to update y'all on my week. :D

Administrative Professional's Day

So I was joking around on Friday and reminded everyone that today was my special day since it is Admin day and my two year anniversary. So Since Carl doesn't get his wife flowers he didn't think he should get me flowers. So he got my FLOURs. (as seen in the picture) Everyone else sent me an e-card, got me the pretty bouquet of flowers you see and a card with a $85 gift card to Target! $85!!! I couldn't believe it!! That is sooo much nicer than I had dreamed. Well, Bruce insisted on taking a picture of me with my flowers and flours so here it is. Today is a good day. :D oh, and Ray just emailed me to tell me that they forgot to tell me that lunch is included so Ray is picking me up whatever I want for lunch today. :D I love it when it's my day! :D

Jordan is now 12

So I had another good/busy weekend. We went over to Randy and Shawna's because they said they had something to show us...THEY GOT A NEW PUPPY!!! Here is a picture of little Zach. He is an all black pug. He is 11 weeks old and full of energy. I had so much fun playing with him on Friday night. Then they had me watch part of the movie 'Birds' because I'm so scared of them. It was a freaky movie. Psycho birds! Not as realistic as movies now but definately would freak me out!

On Saturday we had Jordan's bday party. It was his 12th bday. It was supposed to be a boy/girl party but he broke up with his girlfriend last week so it turned out to be a total of 7 boys. So Olga, Ray and I took them to Red Robin and to see the movie 'The Benchwarmers' I'm not too sure if I want any boys now! The movie was actually pretty funny. Dinner was crazy with all of them and then opening presents. As soon as presents were done they went straight to the XBOX, totally skipped the cake and ice cream! Jordan was having a blast though! I can't believe how old he is getting! One of his friends gave him a razor for one of 'presents' as a joke. Pretty funny. He's so tall too! Matt and Parker ended up stopping by too and it was great to see them again. Especially Matt. So after the boys started playing XBOX we adults hung out and talked until I started falling asleep on the couch.

On Sunday it was so beautiful out so Ray and I got Quizno's and ate outside at Marymoor Park. It was so warm and a totally clear sky! They have a rental there called 'Calise Mansion' and I decided that if I ever get married that is where I want my reception to be. It was beautiful! It was an older style house but it is kept up really well along with the landscaping. Out back there is a gazebo and a large area so that guests can mingle inside and out. I took lots and lots of pictures of all the pretty trees. We also found the dog walk they have there. We went over to check it out and there were soooo many dogs! I can't wait until I get another one next year!!! We did a little shopping at Target, I think I shop there every weekend! And then I made Honey Dijon Chicken with salad and rice for dinner. We had his mom over since Jason is out of town. That was nice, nice to have the apartment to ourselves too. So that's my weekend. We'll see how this week goes. I'm exhausted today and I have school tonite.

School is going ok so far. I hope I start to get into it more. I'm more interested in Mary Kay now and that's not good since my parents paid for me to take this Real Estate class. Let's hope I understand stuff a little more tonite then I did when I read the chapter.

What If It's True....

So my weekend...I stayed home on Friday night to rest up some more from being sick just so I wasn't too tired for my weekend. Ok, so on Thursday when I was home I got bored in the afternoon. I've always been one of those people that didn't understand the whole thing with myspace.com but I went there to see what the fuss was about...and I set up an account. I actually have found a lot of people from high school and what not that I haven't talked to in so long. It is so nice to see how other people are doing and what they are doing and to be in touch with people again. So now I'm hooked......

On Saturday I made a pickle and olive plate...even though Ray and I don't eat olives...to take to his mom's to for an early Easter dinner and to watch the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship for those that don't know) pay-per view fight. Two of the fights were great! The Forrest/Tito fight was good. Tito should not have won by split decision but I guess that's life. The Adrei/Sylvia fight was awesome. Ray was so into he was clapping so hard his hands turned red! We had a nice ham dinner around 3. I brought stuff to make guacamole to have while watching the fight around 7 but one of my avacadoes was moldy and so then I didn't have enough and it was disgusting!! I was so disappointed! I've never made gross guacamole. Rhonda (ray's mom) gave us some Easter buckets filled with all sorts of candies. That was so sweet of her!

On Sunday I went to church with Olga, Tom, Jordan and my Matthew. I ran into Jessica's parents there and got great news! Sarah got engaged and will be getting married next year! The sad part is that her and Kloey will be moving to Montana. :( I got more sad news from Jess that day too. Her and Steve are moving to Florida now instead of back up here. I am sad that I won't have them around but at least I have a nice place to go and visit!!! Well, the message on Sunday was "What if it's True?" Perfect since I'm always asking what if questions. It was a good service and it was so nice to see Matthew again! He is doing better now. He's working and has a nice Audi that he got with his own money and is making the payments on. He's going back to school to at Everett CC. I'm proud of him that he is working at getting his life back in order.

After church I went out to my aunt's house for some more ham dinner and family time. Everyone was there but Melissa. She will be home in May though so I'm super excited to see her! We had an egg hunt for the younger kids, not that young anymore. Jace is the youngest and he is almost 5. We got to see pictures of their trip to Disneyworld. My mom brought me back a cool cookbook from Disneyworld and a pink apron that has a picture of Minnie and says 'kiss the cook' I love it! Here are a couple pictures of the kids. All the kids under 16 and Jace with his bucket of eggs and my cute cousin Janae.

What if...we were never sick

So yesterday was a sick day. I hate those days. I really don't like missing work when it isn't planned. Then I just worry about who is doing what and if they are doing it right. And plus, throwing up is never anyone's favorite thing to do. So today I've been told that I still look pale. I'm still not 100% but hopefully will be tomorrow morning. Going to Ray's mom's on Saturday for Easter dinner and to watch a UFC paperview fight. Then on Easter Sunday we're all going to my aunt's house for dinner after church. Can't be tired for all that...and on Monday I start school....oh boy!!! I should probably go by tonite and find my classroom huh?

blah

So after such a fun weekend the week isn't too great. Work is crazy right now and it is giving me a major migraine. Second one in the last two days. I hate what this place does to me.

I did get my first college book last night. It is 500 pages and wow! So much info in there! I read half of the first chapter. There is so much to real estate that I never knew about! I start on Monday and I'm so nervous.

Last night I ordered a pizza but they messed up. Long story short. It went out for delivery when I asked for carryout so I got a free pizza! :D ISn't that nice. Tonight is another boring food night. One of my favorites but I make it so often that it isn't special. French dip sandwiches with shoestring french fries and a nice fruit smoothie for dessert. LIke how I throw something healthy in after those fries? And tomorrow night I want to find a recipe for either sweet & sour chicken or for almond chicken and then I'm making another new cheesecake...#5!

And I just found out from Julie today that I'm getting my bday and Christmas presents! I'm usually the one that is 6 months late but I was actually on time this year! I like that my bday can last into April! :D Aren't I special! :D

A wonderful weekend!

Hey! This last weekend was a good one! Friday night we didn't do much but as long as we're together I'm happy. Saturday was a fun and busy day! Ray got up and went to mow his mom's lawn. (not an easy task in the rain) and I went to see my aunt and cousins who I haven't seen since like January. So Erica (12), Tara (8) and my aunt and I played the new version of clue. It was actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Then Ray and I headed down to Seattle for our first Mariner's game of the season (we get a lot of the company tickets because not many people like going since they lose a lot).

We had a yummy polish sausage on the street outside. It's much better than the ones inside and a lot cheaper too. It was hard to eat since it was rainy and windy but with those onions...yuummmm. I got some garlic fries in the stadium. I really like them, I really like garlic but they do smell better than they taste. I ordered a Dr Pepper (yes I'm still hooked) in the big souviner cup because I use it for water here at work (I still have last years on my desk). Well, they gave me Diet Pepsi instead and so I waited in line to get a new one and the lady behind me was shocked that I waited so long just for that (I guess I'm just too nice to cut in front of people). The game was soooo cold. It was warm when we left the house (even though it was raining) so we didn't think of bringing a blanket along...big mistake. We froze! It was a pretty boring game but the ceremony before the game was nice.

It was Dan Wilson farewell night. He has been the Mariner's catcher for 12 years!! It was so sad to watch him leave. They had a great ceremony for him. Now I've had to say goodbye to Edgar and to Dan and both nights made me cry. It's funny how sometimes it seems like we really know them just because they've been here for so long.

So on Sat night after the game we went and rented 'Crash'. We were almost done withthe movie and it froze! So now I have to wait to get it on NETFLIX to know how it ends. At least we got a refund since we couldn't see the end!

On Sunday I went shopping and to lunch with Olga. She needed some new shoes to go with the gorgeous new suit she got to wear to meet Dick Cheney. She is on a friend's campaign crew, he is running for congress and they are having lunch with Cheney on the 17th (she is beyond excited). I saw an apron (I didn't have one yet!) in Williams & Sonoma that I loved and she got that and a pink spatula for me! :D So nice of her! I love them! They match my kitchenaid mixer! :D We had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We both had the Grilled Chicken Avacado Club...the most delicious sandwich ever! I gave her my tomotoes and I got her bacon...:D I had chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake...that was very very rich! I had to save some for lunch today. I got Ray some to take home, just the original for plain ol' Ray and he said he likes MY cheesecake more than theirs! :D (and he meant it, I could tell by his face when he took his first bite, he wasn't too impressed)

So, that was my fun weekend, I'm off now so I'm going to go get my first college book, I start next Monday and I'm nervous!

Pictures

OK, so I couldn't get the pictures to work on the yesterday's blog so I made a new post just for the pictures. First is my cheesecake, then the beautiful tree in the parking lot of the office. Then Carl and his boys Arthur and Bryon. Then Ray and little Bryon, just hanging out. So cute! :D

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Today was a good lunch day. At lunch it is me, Carl and Ray (my boyfriend) and we are 'lunch buddies'. I bring them lots of food, make it especially for them. Last night I made another cheesecake. This one was white chocolate raspberry. I'm making a lot of cheesecakes lately because I would love to start selling them to people here at work or at church or school. I've made four kinds now. I would love to make them more often but it is expensive. I should buy a bunch of cream cheese now that they are on sale for $1 at Safeway.

So since I'm always making the guys food they gave me a good idea. To start a lunch program here at work. I would make my dinner and make extras to take to people at work who have signed up for lunch that day. The only problem I am having is price. I know that if I make it too high people won't want to buy because they could pay that somewhere else and I don't want to make it too low because then I won't be getting any profits. I love cooking for people, it is one of my favorite things to do but I don't want to go even more broke by doing this. And buying groceries would be hard since most of the time I'm not just buying groceries for me, I'm buying groceries for four since my family eats whatever they want, even if I pay for it. So I'm still thinking about this concept. It may be hard too once school starts and I have to go straight there from work.

So even though lunch was good today, the rest of the day isn't. I'm not sure what her problem is but Adrienne, my supervisor, has been had a pissy day for like a month now. I know that I do let things get to me but when it's day after day after day of complaining and yelling and just being rude, it wears on ya. So today is not good, just the air in this office is thick and hostile. I wish I was back up front, at least I'd have some sunlight then.

Good thing, it has been so nice here the last couple of days. The sun has been shining and the trees are blooming! What a beautiful great NW!

So today at lunch, Carl's wife brought him lunch and the boys came in with her. They are so cute. Well, little Bryon is pretty shy and doesn't usually go to people that he doesn't know but he suddenly took a liking to Ray. He gave him a hug and then asked to go to him (asking by putting his arms out and say 'uhhh') and he just sat there in Ray's lap even when mom and dad left the room. He didn't cry or anything. He was all leaned back and comfortable. It was the most adorable thing ever! Made me want one of my own with Ray! Guess I'll have to wait a little longer.

OK, I'm really frustrated now. I've tried so many times to put pictures on here to show you but they are only letting me put one picture on!! I give up

Help!

Ok, so all I will say about last night...I can't wait to get my own place!!!!

Just wanted to give everyone a little background on the title of my blog. I am a big dreamer. I'm always daydreaming and wishing for things I can't have. My boyfriend, Ray, is a guy that asks a lot of 'what if' questions. Sometimes they just make me laugh and sometimes he has some pretty good ones. So you may see some of his 'what if's on here from time to time.

So now that I have started all of this I need help. I just figured out how to change the links to other websites. My one question is, how do I add a link for people to look at pictures...and how do I post pictures? So any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello!

Ok, so I decided to give this whole blogging thing a try...see what I think about it. I'm at work right now and I'm so tired. I know that changing the clocks forward really doesn't make me get less sleep (seems how we changed ours at noon on Sunday) but the idea of missing an hour of sleep just makes me more tired. It's all in my head. I'm not excited about going home either because my parents are having someone over for dinner and that is always so much fun. (rolling my eyes) Like our house isn't clean enough already, it has got to sparkle! (and anyone who has been to my parents house knows what I'm talking about!) So yes, I am living at home and I do have to say that it is hell. My brother moved back home too so we're just one big happy family again, all four of us under one roof. We did get another TV finally so we don't all have to share one. A TV that I won from the Safeway Football Scratch Ticket game! :D (Just had to throw that in there)

Ok, so I love Rachael Ray. I watch her shows on the weekends (since we don't have the food network at my parents) and I have cookbooks and DVDs. So I've tried this recipe she did on Oprah the 'You Won't Be Single For Long Vodka Cream Sauce'. Well, I don't know what I did but both times I tried making it, it didn't work. So, needless to say, I got frustrated and didn't cook anything for awhile. Well, I brought my Rachael Ray "365-No Repeats" book to Ray's and made him find something for me to make. So last night I made "Burley Man-Sized BBQ Chicken Burgers with Spicy Coleslaw" and oh my goodness!!!! THEY WERE AMAZING! I of course ate too much, I do this on a regular basis, if you haven't noticed the weight gain....But anyway, these were so good! Really recommend them to anyone. And I wasn't too sure because I really don't like spicy stuff but the coleslaw wasn't spicy (I made sure I didn't get any with red peppers in it) and with the slaw on top of the burger with the cheese inside the burger...so good!
